SOMATIC DECLARATION

I am a commitment to the magic, medicine, and miracle of Mística—practices in making (and un-making) myself into offerings of the Body as ReMatriation Promise. A protest, a prayer, a positive obsession, I imagine myself without shame, dancing through the veil and singing back to the lost-shapen parts of my Self that feel Other: the unsung tricksters; liminal fugitives; and, prophetic invalids—my Taotaomo’na who conspire with me always. In honoring these warriors dispossessed, I possess myself—stretching our Pakikiramdam and erecting a body-politic pregnant with “Hidden Moaning” (伏吟).

As tribute to all night-walkers and macho-dancers, I play hard—getting under my own skin and deep-throating my own voice to invoke its freak fascia. At the crossfires of beauty, absurdity, and sensuality, I work in deep time and sovereign space; through dream and scheme; and always with inter-revolutionary intent, which serves as a knowing: No Such Thing as Final Form.

With Love & Rigor, I activate my praxis lineages of Critical Fabulation, Somatic Abolition, and Trans-Divination through resistance choreo-poetics and performance art. I travel through these practices as if I were “island-hopping”, embodying an archipelagic consciousness while devising and mythologizing to invite depth without drowning and playful porosity.

I believe, that amidst rising sea-levels and (heart)melting conditions, to re-member myself as an island is an inherently futurist act, trusting the connective tissue of water—as my wayfinding ancestors did—to lead us back home, back to each other, and back to “a queerness not yet here”.
